Forces Cars Direct Ltd, including Motor Source Group and Black Gold Vehicles is the leading vehicle brokerage for the military community. We feel strongly about rewarding our Armed Forces and Emergency Services, and doing the best that we can to make a positive difference.
We have made ourselves aware of the impacts our business has on the environment; the role of our vehicle sales in the global carbon agenda; the support we can provide to the military community; and the importance of our profitable growth and good governance.
Our Sustainability Policy outlines our commitments in these areas of planet, people and prosperity and is supported by annual objectives and a range of internal policies that drive continual improvement:
•We recognise the climate emergency and the need for decarbonisation of our industry over time. We have partnered with industry leading experts in renewable energy - myenergi, to ensure all our customers can find out about owning and running an electric vehicle.
•We are committed to adherence with all environmental legislation applicable to our activities.
•In 2022 we will plant 8,400 trees both in the UK and overseas via the Green Task Force – an organisation that supports veterans physical and mental wellbeing.
•We are proudly committed to our Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award, promising to support those who serve and who have served in the Armed Forces and their families.
•We are a Living Wage employer and encourage employment from the local area.
•We will continue our work with SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity, by making a contribution for each vehicle that we supply.
•Through our programme we enable customers to access vehicles cost effectively, including members of the Forces Pension Society – to whom a motor vehicle is a lifeline.
•In 2022 we will donate 1% of our annual profit to organisations making a positive contribution to society.
This Statement is communicated to all employees and is available to all interested parties on request. Our Policy will be updated each year in order to detail our achievements and state our ongoing commitments.
