Featuring new up-market design elements both inside and out, a new N-Motion trim grade enhances the Qashqai’s position further, as the in-demand urban crossover that is even better value for money. Based on the mid-range N-Connecta grade and list-priced from £25,345 (pre-discounts), the limited-production Qashqai N-Motion features a suite of upgrades to boost its appeal in the SUV sector.
Silver bumper plates front and rear, matching door mirror caps and roof rails, plus LED headlamps with adaptive front lighting support a contemporary new look that is finished with unique 19.0-inch diameter ‘Ibiscus’ alloy wheels. The cabin receives a makeover courtesy of redesigned front seats that feature ‘burnt orange’ inserts on the bolsters, with matching stitching that is also carried onto the knee pads, on either side of the gear selector surround, as well as on the front door trim and top of the storage area between the front seats.
For an extra layer of protection in the boot, the N-Motion comes with a full-sized liner. NissanConnect, the brand’s advanced in-car infotainment system, delivers seamless and intuitive integration of driver and vehicle to enhance the user experience. Features include voice recognition, single line search, Find My Car and Over The Air map and software updates. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard.
The additional equipment means that N-Motion offers great value for money. When combined with the free Gun Metallic paint option (normally £575), the new features equate to £1,205 of extra retail specification for a mere £300 price increase over a standard N-Connecta. A 6-speed twin-clutch automated transmission is now available on both 1.3-litre 157bhp petrol and the 1.5-litre 112bhp turbo-diesel models.
If you desire something smaller, the ‘tech advanced’ Micra helps deliver confidence to new independent drivers, thanks to impressive standard-fit safety features and affordable cost of ownership. Bluetooth connectivity, with audio streaming, enhances the model’s desirability with young drivers. Two new 1.0-litre petrol engines (97 and 114bhp) can be linked to a new Xtronic automatic transmission and the introduction of an N-Sport grade.
The new engines deliver greater potency, improved efficiency and both enhanced refinement and on-road performance. The NissanConnect infotainment system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (from Acenta grade), enables drivers to remain connected and in control of their entertainment on the move.
Supporting drivers, the Micra maintains high safety standards with all models fitted with Intelligent Emergency Braking with pedestrian recognition, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Lane Departure Warning and High Beam Assist. Thanks to these important technologies, the Micra is awarded a five-star EuroNCAP safety rating in the UK and has also lifted the ‘First Car’ magazine ‘Car of the Year’ award.
