PEUGEOT has once again been presented with the Red Dot Award for outstanding design: the new PEUGEOT E-3008 impressed the international expert panel of 39 judges in the “Product Design” category with its dynamic fastback silhouette, new modernised front end and extensive features.
The predecessor of the PEUGEOT 3008 also received the Red Dot Award in 2017. This was the ninth time that PEUGEOT has received this coveted design award.
Matthias Hossann, Design Director at PEUGEOT: “I am delighted that the new design of the PEUGEOT E-3008 has been recognised with the Red Dot Design Award.
The PEUGEOT E-3008 combines the ingenuity and tenacity of PEUGEOT and epitomises all of our brand values. Reinventing the PEUGEOT 3008 meant modernising its image and harmonising dynamic design and optimum efficiency using a fastback silhouette. This award proves that our team’s creativity has paid off.”
New front end, floating rear spoiler and high-quality, modern features
The PEUGEOT E-3008 stands out due to its new, modern and efficient exterior design. Chrome components have been removed in favour of painted ones: Meteor Grey on the front and rear bumper, Orbital Black on the mirror caps and lower section.
A new front end was designed for the PEUGEOT E-3008, which includes a complete redesign of the headlights and radiator grille centred around the PEUGEOT emblem. The colour gradient seamlessly integrates these features into the bodywork. The compact headlights with new Pixel LED technology (standard for GT) are housed in a slim, stylish trim and automatically adjust the light beam to the road conditions, ensuring optimum visibility.
The feline lines of the PEUGEOT E-3008 reflect the balanced dimensions of the vehicle, which is one of the most compact in the all-electric SUV C-segment category, while still offering plenty of space for passengers and luggage.
The best-selling model from the iconic lion brand stands out with its fastback SUV design: the traditional hatchback line has been modernised with a “floating” spoiler, which reinforces the silhouette of the body and optimises aerodynamics. The generous rear end of the new PEUGEOT E-3008 features a dynamic design, which is accentuated by the three-claw light signature.
The new PEUGEOT E-3008 is available in the new colour Obsession Blue with a subtle reflective quality, as well as in Ingaro Blue, Okenite White, Perla Nera Black, Artense Silver and Titanium Grey.
The new PEUGEOT E-3008 is the first model from the brand to be equipped with the new PEUGEOT Panorama i-Cockpit®. The floating 21-inch HD curved panoramic display creates an exciting and sophisticated visual effect on board and integrates the digital instrument cluster and the large central touchscreen. The LED ambient lighting can be customised using eight different colours and is reflected by an elegant decorative trim made of real aluminium that extends across the dashboard and over the doors.
The 2024 Red Dot Award
In 2024, products submitted from 60 countries were assessed in 51 competition categories. The jury members granted the “Red Dot” or “Red Dot: Best of the Best” award based on the four qualities of good design as well as the respective socio-cultural background, professional focus and design expertise. Products were not judged in competition with one another but on their individual merits.
